Hudson Fire Protection District New Fire Station No. 1 - Hudson, CO

  • 14,100 SF - Architectural, Structural & Civil Services

    • Fire Station No. 1 replacement facility for Hudson Fire Protection District provided the district with a long awaited, state-of-the-art facility to replace multiple outdated buildings along Main Street in Hudson, Colorado. The Design/Build Team's overall goal was to create a single, all encompassing facility that served as a multi-functional Community Center along with satisfying the fire district needs.
    • The new anchor structure sets a civic design standard for community development along the Main Street Development District. The design is a traditional, all masonry structure with architectural accent detailing. A pre-engineered metal building structure was used for high bay free span and economy. Site challenges included developing a site configuration to maintain the existing facility through construction and demolishing after move-in for site parking.
